"I believe in a nonpartisan approach to solving civic issues. I trust that my involvement in the Citizens League gives me a better understanding of how others feel about such issues, how to engage others and find solutions and to 'turn down the volume' when finding solutions is difficult."
| --Ray Martin, Citizens League member |

Over the course of 2007, the Citizens League has re-examined the meaning of membership, and how to ensure that those values are reflected in our organization. Membership should help to build the civic capacity of citizens through their participation in nonpartisan, citizen-based public policy work. In October 2007, the Citizens League changed its membership structure in way that should help accomplish our mission and allow more members to participate. Changes include: flexible membership dues options, more opportunities to impact public policy and make a difference through our civic engagement work, and two names at every membership address. |
